Position Overview: We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team as a Canning Line Filler/Packaging Operator. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our canning line, maintaining quality standards, and contributing to the success of our brewery.

Responsibilities:

1. Canning Line Operation:
   • Operate and monitor the canning line equipment to ensure proper functioning.
   • Perform setup, adjustments, and changeovers as necessary to maintain production efficiency.
   • Monitor product quality throughout the packaging process and make adjustments as needed.
2. Quality Control:
   • Conduct regular quality checks on packaged products to ensure consistency and adherence to standards.
   • Identify and address any issues related to product quality or packaging integrity.
   • Follow standard operating procedures to maintain product quality and safety.
3. Equipment Maintenance:
   • Assist in routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment.
   • Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor repairs as needed.
   • Communicate any maintenance needs or equipment malfunctions to the maintenance team.
4. Safety and Compliance:
   • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
   • Follow standard operating procedures and maintain compliance with all relevant regulations.
   • Participate in safety training sessions and promote a culture of safety among team members.
5. Collaboration:
   • Coordinate with other members of the production team to ensure smooth workflow and efficient operation.
   • Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to address any concerns or issues that arise.
   • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
6. Record Keeping:
   • Maintain accurate records of production activities, including production counts, downtime, and quality checks.
   • Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
7. Additional Duties:
   • Assist with other brewery tasks and projects as needed such as warehousing and brewery cellar work.
   • Participate in brewery events and promotions as required.
   
   • Qualifications:
     • Previous experience operating packaging equipment in a brewery or similar manufacturing environment is preferred.
     • Certified to operate a forklift preferred.
     • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
     • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
     • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
     • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
     • Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or overtime as needed.
     
   • Education and Certifications:
     • High school diploma or equivalent.
     • Any relevant certifications or training in packaging operations or food/beverage production are a plus.
